Scotty’s Castle
This stunning piece of architecture is hidden in the Grapevine Canyon on the northern side of Death Valley. Scotty’s Castle showcases the roaring 20s and the 30’s depression. This castle is a must-see if you’re on that side of the park. It is also wheelchair accessible!

Ashford Mine
If you like history then this is the stop for you. This mine worked between 1910 and 1941 and was mainly used for gold mining. Additionally, if you check out this unique spot, make sure to take in the terrain. You’ll see how various formations were created based on different water levels from the ancient Lake Manly.

Golden Canyon, Badlands Loop
This 7.8-mile loop is 4 hikes in one! Giving you the best views in all of Death Valley. It’s a moderate hike and takes roughly three and a half hours to complete but it is worth it!

Texas Spring Campground
This is a first come, first served campground that is located in the hills right near Furnace Creek. Also, it has amazing views and cell phone reception if you need it.

Emigrant Campground
Another first come first served campground. This beautiful spot overlooks the Cottonwood Mountains. It’s a small campground with only 10 sites. Bonus: there are nearby toilets!

Furnace Creek Campground
If you’re wanting to ensure a campsite beforehand, this is a great site. This is the only campground that allows advance reservations. It’s close to many hiking trails, bike paths, and a visitor center. It’s a great place to settle down for your trip to Death Valley.
